    Ok, I get your point, but perhaps I should have explained at the start of the thread that I'm not a complete moron...

    I was really just trying to find out if anybody had experienced similar and found things that worked for them. I know that we're not all the same, was just trying to learn from other people's experiences not from their opinions.

    But thank you for looking out for me :wink:

    I didn't assume you were. And my point wasn't directed at you but at the people who are telling you, with great authority, that your particular cramp is one thing and one thing alone. That is simply wrong given that cramp can be a symptom of many things. Some of your replies don't come with a "Might be...", "May be..." or "In my case..." caveat but are definitive diagnoses.

    But forums wouldn't be forums if 95% of people didn't think they were 100% right all the time... :P

    Paulbox, you could try sports drinks while out on rides, if the cramp symptons dont improve then go see a doctor ?
