Excellent race. I'm just hoping the rest of the Classics season can be this good.

Well I didn't expect Stannard to outsprint GVA; proves GVA was doing plenty of work out there.

Good enjoyable race. In proper 'Classics' weather.

My word. A result for Sky in the classics. Very well played.

GVA should have kept his cool when he was behind Stannard.

That could have gone horribly wrong for Sky they could have come away with nothing. I almost expected them to. I thought that Stannard and GvA would get caught and then a combo of GvA, Terspstra and Vanmarcke would make up the podium. Shows how little faith I have in the Sky classics men.

Stannard's slow-mo pain face when pressure comes off pedals on the line.

EBH to take them all from the rear.

This does not go with Eddy's 'nice boy dull' image.

Don't know, thought it made him sound like a 'nice boy'

Who'd have thought Sky would ride a tactically perfect semi classic? Great ride by Rowe as well, nice to see him up there with the big boys and did a good marking role.

Stannard. 26 year old and bald. But winner of the OHN.

I wouldn't like to be on that OPQS bus when Pat gets on.

Very good racing and a great victory for Stannard. I really hope for him that he can kick on get some other big results.

The question is, can Sky be genuine contenders for the likes of Flanders and Roubaix or is it too difficult to see past Sagan and Cancellara?

Oh and Rick is dead right about ear pieces.

Stannard is pretty good at acting too. He looked absolutely beat before he made a break for it when he was with the chasers.

And someone please get GvA some sugar, the poor man is about to pass out!

Belgians always talk about 'track' experience in 2 up sprints.

    Always.

Let's hope KBK follows in style. Maybe not.
