    Cannondale just not fancy it?
“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!
  • I'm going out to take a look at the finish, I think.

As has been mentioned, this is the start of the season as far as I'm concerned.

    No Haussler for IAM?

Rick - I was just looking at the OPQS team and thinking, that is one solid team for a race like this. I bet they don't win it though.

    Haussler.

Now there is some unrealised potential.

I checked yesterday and the SKY listings give "LIVE Cycling" starting at 1.30pm - when you look at the information it's only described as "LIVE Cycling Event"

I'm assuming this is Omloop and I'm hyping myself up accordingly.

Any weather forecasts from Our Man in Belgium?

It'll probably be the World Track Champs
  • *hugs self with excitement*
  • Right now weather wise in Gent they're forecasting sunny spells and not very much wind coming from the south west.

  • It's Sunday, so that will be Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne. Same as last year.
    No Het N/V. :(
    (Sporza for me :) )

Edit: The Het is on Sky Sports 2- 11-30pm for 30 big minutes.

Live on BBC "Red" button, channel 301, from Wednesday night 11-30ish.

Going to be a nightmare trying to watch any of that. Is Becky hopeful of defending her titles?

How do you get Sporza in the UK by the way?
  • Yes, she is.
You can record from the freeview channel 301, if you have a suitable hard drive.
I get Sporza via a motorized dish and some stealth technology.

Aside from the usual dodgy streams or if you have it as part of your cable package? You can get yourself a VPN provider which offers you multiple countries so you can change your IP address. (If you pay for it, it is an entirely legal as its a service and you're paying and the governance of the internet is still all fuzzy and the paid for ones are better quality, I pay $56 a year for mine, which is a steal as I can watch all sorts, not just cycling). Then you can watch the feed direct from the Sporza site. PM me if you want details of the service I use.

just use hula or hola (I can't rememebr whic one) the plug in for Google Chrome. Works very well but you ll need a program to Block Ads such as the one I'm about to type now but will be chaged to a patronising message

Currently lashing it down. Windy too.

I'll give you the early morning summary on Saturday as I'm walking 5km across Gent to view a house and then the start. It's been quite mild in Brussels all weekend though.

At last the season proper starts. Quality riders in that OPQS squad.
It's being shown live on cycling.tv in UK,

Oh, I hadn't heard of that before. Might be worth the £3 a month.
