Intervals really do work

My new years resolution was to become a faster cyclist and better at battling headwinds. I have been doing intervals twice per week since the start of the month. I have seen my average speed jump by nearly 2kph on my commute and thats into wind of about 16-18kph and with a tail wind also. I am enjoying cycling a lot more now. I still struggle with the 30kph+ winds but I hope to get better with them as time goes by.

Just been doing them on my commute twice a week. I just find a stretch of road sprint at 90% effort until I cant take anymore and spin easy. Then just repeat 5 times more depending on traffic etc.0
