NOW £2749.99 lot better bike the yt bike or look 29er bike.have look at http://www.canyon.com/_en/ or http://www.rosebikes.co.uk
I'd really like a 650B this time around having ridden a couple of mate's bikes, I've currently got a 26" FS and a 29" HT, the 29er only gets used on the road as I'm not a huge fan of it off road, and I'm also looking for something with more travel than the 130mm I've got now.
I'm not really looking at the YT Pro now either, I'm looking the the Capra Comp-1 which comes in at just under £3k delivered...
As for Canyon and Rose, Canyon don't appear to have a 650B in their range with a Pike fork fitted, and my mate's got a Rose Granite Chief 2, so I'd feel daft getting exactly the same bike, lol!0 -
gazman428 wrote:Wheel base were doing a trade in event where you could trade in anybike, I looked at trading a old scrap heap mtb against a nukeproof mega pro and it knocked 650mquid off. This brought it right into the price range you describe.
it comes with pike forks and a 1x10 sram not 1 x11
They don't appear to be doing this any more, I did look a few weeks ago when they had the event on, but didn't have the funds available then to buy the bike I wanted, typical!0 -

I think I've narrowed my choice down to 4 bikes, 2 variants of the Radon Slide, and 2 variants of the YT Capra :-
Slide 1x11 - http://www.radon-bikes.de/xist4c/web/Sl ... 26247_.htm
Slide 2x10 - http://www.radon-bikes.de/xist4c/web/Sl ... 26045_.htm
Capra 1x11 - http://www.yt-industries.com/shop/en/Bi ... -CF-Comp-1
Capra 2x10 - http://www.yt-industries.com/shop/en/Bi ... -CF-Comp-2
I like the idea of 1x11 for simplicity, although I'm quite happy with my current 2x10 setup, will have a good ponder over the weekend!0 -
