I have always been a Torq Rhubarb & Custard Gel user.
However they dont seem to be getting any cheaper. What do other people use / recommend?

I've been using the SIS gels, however the tab can be a bit tricky to tear off and they are on the large size. For that reason I tried the Torq Cherry ones last night because they were a little smaller and had a better tear off. IMO, the SIS (orange) ones taste much better and are a bit runnier. The Torq ones were like sludge but I'm sure I'll get used to it after the next 27.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

Yeh they are thicker, but I dont mind that at all if on a long ride, but in a race they can be a little of a waste.0 -
ZipVit Sport ZV7C Caffeine Energy Gel - Really thick and need to be taken with a swig of water but give the best energy punch I've experienced from various gels...0

I'd agree about ZipVit Sport caffeine gel - like rocket fuel, although I find it a bit difficult to use on the move due to the amount in the packet and its consistency0

Been using the SIS Caffeine gels...berry flavoured I think. Found those really good.0

I'm a big fan of Clif Double Expresso.

To avoid helmet hair after a long ride.0 -
From a taste, ease of use and size, Powerbar come up tops for me. I like OTE too, but have yet to find anywhere who sell them in bulk0

Of all the gels I find the Torq the most pleasant- I'm a strawberry yoghurt man.
28g of carbs so about right every hour at high intensity (racing)
Next best for me is the Zipvit but at 85g of carbs its a bit high. Good if you have gone too deep0
