Saddle pinching?

All last season when I put the time in the saddle I got two little lumps either side of my bits in the groin line.
I went to the docs and as usual they were useless with diagnosis from ingrown hair, blocked gland and something else I can remember.
I honestly think its the saddle pinching my groin or rubbing over time. If I put a couple if hours or more in I instantly have the tender little lumps(they are very small and not particularly red etc)

If it is the saddle any ideas when could be the problem too narrow or too wide etc.

I'm riding a standard Giant Defy3 2012 model with standard seat which are known to be shit.

It sounds like the soft tissue in your groin is taking your weight rather than your sit bones and you would benefit from a saddle fitting.

    Hygiene is critical.
Try using something such as Betadine antiseptic liquid on the affected area both before riding, and then again after post-ride washing.

If the skin is broken or injured from friction, then perhaps your shorts aren't fitting properly, or the saddle/position is wrong.

Saddle too wide. But not the wide part, I mean the middle and nose.
All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!

I had similar problems, using a rather narrow saddle. Struggling to find anything narrower.

Part of me wants to blame the cheapo club shorts, the other part of me doesn't want to spend money on higher quality shorts

Apparently Fizik saddles are quite narrow... might be worth trying a used one from the Saddle swap shop thread. I used one though and had the same problem.. maybe try visiting a Specialized store and get the correct width BG saddle, see if that makes a difference?

Are you allowed to use that on your team bike? :)

    ^^ This
I had same problem, bike fit saddle height and position tweaked sorted it.No need to change saddle...however all this is notoriously person specific...good luck sorting!
