Hi
just about to start using the dusty turbo again , this time on a laminate floor. It is laid over concrete . Has anyone had problems with the floor when doing this or am I just looking for excuses ?

    you're looking for excuses ...

but if you're worried then lay a sheet over the floor first.
  • Aldi/Lidl exercise mat is what I use. Cost about £4.99 and I think they are on specials this week.

Before I got a mat I just mopped the sweat up with floor cleaner...

Definitely a mat. Laminates don't like moisture.
My wife would definitely kill me if I sweated all over ours.

mat - or even a trough/paddling pool self build to catch oceans of sweat. Normal laminates won't like sweat/moisture in general but some gyms have certains types that are ok. If you have kitchen grade and have sealed teh joints when fitting it will be ok - but I woudl chance it if appearance is important.

Never had a problem with sweat with a decent fan running. Without a mat I found the turbo rocked and travelled across the floor.

Don't you ever wash your floor?!

Sure we wash the floor. ( I say we - I mean my wife) but not leave the liquid on the floor for an hour or more.
  • just had first session on turbo with mat . Please someone give me an excuse. I forgot how hard a turbo session is.

Tacx training mat on top of plyboard, on top of 3cm of high density foam, on top of rug, on top of wooden flooring. And it still sometimes annoys the neighbours. But if noise/vibrations isn't the issue, you're just looking for excuses..
