Returning to cycling after a distal bicep tendon repair

Anyone have any advice or experience to resuming cycling after a repair of their distal (elbow end) bicep tendon repair?

Not me, but I would do what your DOCTOR tells you. Not someone on this forum.

As above, this isn't the sort of place to get reliable information regarding these sort of matters. My suggestion is to ask your orthopaedic surgeon these questions at your follow up appointment. He/she'll know what bone anchors and suture material they have used and how long they would expect it to be before you can begin safely loading the tendon again, arguably in cycling the biggest risk to disrupting the repair is a fall from the bike rather than riding itself.

If you have no further follow up booked in which to ask these questions then you could always contact your surgeon by leaving a message with their secretary - call the hospital switchboard and ask to be put through the Mr/Mrs Xs secretary.

Hope that helps, best to get the right answer to your questions.

Good luck with the rehab and recovery.
