He's either a lot more brave or a lot more stupid than I am...
I've seen lunatics using ally fasteners on load bearing applications on motorcycles too (caliper mounting bolts, footrest hangers, yoke pinch bolts etc - the mind boggles. :shock:0 -
On a motorbike that's completely retarded! Even if a caliper bolt fails on an MTB it's fairly unlikely to be fatal, can't really say the same on a motorbike!0

Im still contemplating whether or not to go for the aluminium caliper bolts. Eventhough its probably a risky and stupid thing to do.
Aluminium caliper bolts on a motorcycle caliper is monumentally stupid idea. Further goes on to add to my point that motorbike riders have balls of steel. Well some of them anyway (Like TT riders)0 -

Tell me about it, utter bellends. Footrest hanger bolts is monumantally stupid enough, but brake caliper bolts (especially on axial mount calipers)?! Crazy. Not to mention the bad taste aspect, since the reason they've usually fitted ally is so they can have coloured fasteners, lol. :roll:0 -

No, it's just that most of them are clueless twats, lol.
Professional racers (especially real roads racers) are just mental cases - their brains aren't wired up the same way as normal people.0 -
