I had the day off today.. My first day back and I failed... Luckily I am my own boss.. Phew..

I am easy doing either both Follow the Dog and Monkey Trail or Just Follow the Dog. 2 Laps of Follow the Dog would be a good ride too and not too challenging if you are still getting into riding or not too confident on the technical stuff.

L3BIUS I sent a PM so you have my number... I will be there....
I have done a couple of laps now and know a route which if we feel up to it can do part of the Monkey trail. It is a long up hill ride but it lets you do top cliff and lower cliff coming back down. Depending on skill or fitness ( I am not too fit but I am determined to keep going... so up hills may be a slog but I do keep going even if it is slowly) we could do that on the second loop. You are warmed up by then and it will still be hard work but not as bad as doing it when you are still cold.

Haha, no I'm 43 not 11! But doesn't really matter if your younger, older, fatter or thinner! You will most proberly be fitter then me!!! Rode my first proper trail yesterday at sherwood pines and absolutely loved it,glad I went early because it was packed as I was leaving! Know fitness will come with riding and as long as I'm enjoying it that's me happy!!

Cool...Cannock is a different challenge as I am guessing it was quite boggy and muddy at Sherwood... But it is all good fun...... I have not done any of the pines routes but I have ridden round there a lot when I was a kid and did a ride which skirted the pines last weekend. It was 15 miles with 10 or more of those where it was just gloop... lol.. If we do any other rides during the year I will see about doing some more off piste trails in the Sherwood forest area...

You will find Cannock does need to be warmed up into and not go too fast initially. Follow the dog is not too difficult to ride you just need to pace yourself.. If we do some of the Monkey trail that is more challenging. lol.
