None at all. It was a Belgian Weizen, if that's possible. Fairly golden in colour. Definitely not a traditional one.

Now corrected on blog.

Had three pints of Adnams Ghost Ship later on before unwrapping the bottle, so that clearly affected my vision.

I was really close to buying the whisky one, but bought 3 bottles instead and just having a tot each day

And the beer was... Butcombe Brewery Adam Henson's Rare Breed. Really nice.

Great stuff! I've got something similar to one of these down at uni, unfortunately I've been at home the past 4 days and won't be going down again until the 9th.

Rather conviniently it's the date of my last exam so the opportune moment to catch up

Heh. Have to say I'm taking particular interest this year, being raised in the West Country.

Just spotted that Smiles are no more, which is a shame, but several more outfits have sprung up in the area.

Kets, that doesn't sound like a black IPA to me! Mega-roasty flavours is heading towards imperial stout, isn't it?

It was Wiper & True India Pale Ale Black. I agree, though. More like an imperial stout really.

Not a huge fan of the style, so no surprise it wasn't one of my favourites.
