Hello. Anyone have any experience or recommendations re: 3LC videos or Graeme Street's Cyclo90 program? Are they worthwhile? Thanks

  • hello

i have a 3lc road race dvd. i find it gives a good focus to a turbo session. i have no cadence sensor or gauge apart from feel, but i still get a good workout and would recomend it 100% as a training tool. might not be very fancy but thats ok. its a sort of simulated rr with a group on turbo's with easier and harder bits, intervals basically. with cadence being the target and resistance on an out of 10 type effort.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of these as well!
  • I don't rate Graeme Street much. Apart from his money making skills - those are great

I actually did some more research and downloaded the free Cyclo90 workout. It was alright - I did it as an add-on to another TrainerRoad workout. He does have some good info on the Web and on his podcast. However - and this is just my observation - he never stops selling. This can be a turn-off. It's all about buying into his Cyclo90 system, and to my wallet, it is too expensive. I see he has a new video out that he's charging $50 for - and that's after a 33% discount...c'mon now!! There are many other well-structured videos out there for way less money and they work great with Trainer Road. Sufferfest and 3LC, the latter I've since tried, are great. Would be nice if Cyclo90 and other cyclo club videos were more reasonably priced. And any good workout video sells itself.
  • I do these on TrainerRoad but without the videos. I can't recall which one it was but I downloaded a free video for one of them and all it consisted of was the bloke sitting on his turbo spinning, which is hardly very motivating. The workouts when done in TR are great though.
