Slight update. Now 2x10, with XT shifters and mechs front and rear. Fitted the Renthal Carbon bars now, instead of the Easton Havocs that were on before. Also Cane Creek DBA CS shock, with is awesome and totally transformed the way the bike handles.
Just bought a new Orange Crush as well0 -

Thanks. Took it to Forest of Dean yesterday. Managed to venture onto the DH track that they' used for today's races. I reckon this bike could handle a lot of the DH stuff and maybe even ok for the Alps. Only thing holding it back is me0

Pretty much what the press have said. Excellent wheels, front tyre is pretty good, rear tyre doesn't inspire confidence in loose conditions. I found it much better than expected in the mud though. Cannock Chase (follow the dog) is very sandy and lost the back end loads if hitting berms quickly and fast flat turns are not recommended. I've kept it on anyway and just gonna have to learn how to handle the bike better when the back end is near the limit. Maybe my body position should be lower and more weight over the back.0

Took half of the Forest home with me.0
