Look on the bright side.
He won't be able to take his 3 month, mid season trip home to Columbia, this year.
Two GTs are better than one.
Big loss for the ToB, though."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Quintana would have prefered to do the Tour“I am going to the Giro at the behest of those who are paying my salary,” Quintana said. “It’s a decision that also takes into consideration the interests of the sponsors and [Alejandro] Valverde. … I wanted to go to the Tour, but we don’t have a leader for the Italian tour.”

It's not often you see that level of honesty, telling like it is in many things let alone sport. It's very refreshing.Correlation is not causation.0 -
The Giro will be a lot of fun! Quotes like this surprise me though, they seem to already accept that Froome will win the tour:Unzué said Quintana has a better chance to win the Giro than to go up against Froome, and promised to bring a full squad to support him in the Italian tour.
The tour will probably be quite boring, hopefully Nibali and Contador will be in great shape. And Valverde of course...0
