Sadly, the one I have watched the most is The Matrix.

However

The one I always enjoy when re-watching is True Romance.

    High Noon
    Fort Apache
A Matter of Life and Death

I've just seen that the Life and Times of Colenel Blimp is on this weekend, a very good (if controversial) choice for Remembrance Day.

Not yet a classic but 'Drive' stylish, brooding and violent, is one on the best films I've see for a while. Great soundtrack as well :D

  • If you're stuck for tomorrow night,"Run Lola Run" or "A Simple Plan" are both superb.

The Matrix, there's a biggie I've never seen. That's my eve sorted, cheers!
    Its a PITA.
    1st watch - WTF?
    2nd watch - Understanding.
    3rd watch - Enjoyment.

After the first watch you have to decide whether you can be bothered to acquire the taste.

And don't bother with parts 2 or 3.

+1. Agree with you on both points! Although, my Missus now want's to add Ryan Gosling to her 'allowed' list. The list is now longer than my Wiggle wishlist FFS.

I actually bought the silk scorpion jacket (I so could have pulled off the look) but my wife made me send it back

And don't worry, watch 'Only God Forgives' starring Gosling with the same director, your Missus will soon go off him.

    Right

    - 28 Days Later - scary as a scary thing with horns on
    - In Bruges - Violent, excellent, funny - like Tarantino only better with fewer Yanks and more Irish
    - Blade Runner - get the latest version you can, NOT the original which is ruined by stupidity
    - Fargo - see "In Bruges"
    - Sideways - like a French film, only set in California with Americans
    - Little Miss Sunshine - I nearly wee'd myself the first time I saw it
    - The 40 year-old Virgin - also funny
    - The Bournes are good
    - The latest Bond is a good film, full stop - let alone a good Bond film

That'll do for now. Nothing in black 'n' white, 'cos frankly I've yet to see a decent B&W film - from the Battleship Potemkin onwards, they are either dreary or have too many "Darling?", "Yes, Darling?" "Oh, gosh, Darling" moments in it (see: Brief Encounter). The only exception is Le Samurai because it's French and has Alain Delon in it.

It's just a hill. Get over it.

The Place beyond the Pines is another good Gosling movie. Saying that I don't think he can do any wrong. Cool dude and awesome actor.
