We are thousands down, as we assumed our Liverpool branches would have picked up the replacement parts for the winning the league bus when it got pulled out of storageStevo_666 said:
Looking on the bright side, I had a pre-season bet with a bloke at work that Liverpool wouldn't win the CL or PL this year and that Chelsea would come at least third in the PL (£10 bet each). If the season is declared null and void then I'm £20 better off.tlw1 said:0 -
Are they piping crowd noises through the Tannoys?!seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

On that note, there's a bunch of haory bikers with their choppers and chopped bikes that go haring past the house at any old hour* and they're exhaust noises are f*cking loud.
Makes my new Dansk silencers and tail pipes sound like the local library.
*And they're doing 'essential travel' ?1 Yeah right.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
I've tried to get excited about the return of the footie, being the supporter of a team in a play off position in the Championship and have found that I really can't be arsed. I've been sports mad all my life, but most of it is a steaming pile of s***e in reality.
Thank god I've got back into cycling in a big way. I'd far rather spend 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon riding out into the Peak District and doing something beneficial than sit listening, or attending a game, to watch a bunch of show ponies cheat to gain 3 points.
I can't see me returning to the fold anytime soon.0 -
Yeahbut... MOTD is on at a time you wouldn't be out on your bike and I rarely go to matches, so plenty of time to go and pedal. I also don't subscribe to any satellite coys.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Ah, MOTD, that's those Premier League fancy dans, isn't it?
Don't bother with that malarkey, my team Forest have only had 1 year in the Premier League, the very first one then decided we were far too good for it and disappeared into the lower echelons for what seems like eternity0 -
Any truth in the rumour that as the Man U players went down to 'take the knee' they, through sheer force of habit, appealed for a penalty? And for the same reason, the referee gave it?0

The ref said he didn't see anything as his Man U scarf flapped up into his face, obscuring his view.ballysmate said:Any truth in the rumour that as the Man U players went down to 'take the knee' they, through sheer force of habit, appealed for a penalty? Winner, winner, chicken dinner... and ironically we hand the Scousers their first ever PL title. 'One time, mate....'
Seriously, well done Liverpool, you deserved it (unlike that season where Slippy G screwed it all up)"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
You have a point.
But had they lost the PL for some inexplicable reason* or very serious collapse, it would have been worse.

Congratulations to Liverpool,
For the sake of Chelski fans let’s hope Shitty’s CL berth is left vacated as you’d have to be in la la land if you didn’t think Wolves will finish above Manure and Chelski.
Mind you if we win the Europa League......“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring”

All the plastic Scousers have been out in Derby wearing their Liverpoo shirts.
Drives me mad.
Earlier on in the season I was having a conversation with a plastic Man City fan about football in general, but also about my love of Forest, which doesn't go down great working in and living far too close to Derby and he was amazed that I didn't have a Premier League team that I supported as well.
Why on earth would I. If Forest ever get there I'll support them, until then I'll leave the glory hunting to all the twats who have to jump on whatever bandwagon is flavour of the season.0 -
Now I see a pattern here...Cargobike said:All the plastic Scousers have been out in Derby wearing their Liverpoo shirts.

Leicester lose and I never thought I’d be wishing West Ham to beat Chelski.
Things are looking interesting for a Champions League spot.“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring”
