That's a bit harsh. I mean, they have exceeded all expectations, are above where anyone expected them to be and I did cite inexperience and a tough Xmas/new year schedule on such a young squad. If they finish in the top 8, that should be considered a result.slowmart said:Blimey I thought the wheel wouldn’t come off Franks bus until Christmas.
It’ll be interesting to see if Frank
Has the cash to spend in January
And if he does, will he risk unbalancing a young squad showing so much promise?
Chelsea were playing some lovely football, Frank has his first big test now as a manger, unfortunately he’s looking out of his depth in post match interviews which makes me think he has not got the tools to get the team back in shape.
Surely FL is learning too. Their run since the season started had been so good, a couple of losses and they're getting written off!?
On the other hand... let's watch them crash and burn the w@nkers.

Don't think so. We're likely to be welcoming Scouserpool to that exclusive band of clubs that have won the PL and the CL soon.tlw1 said:"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Low bar there buddy, you are the same number of points off top as you are bottom and reflecting on what’s been done rather than the future. ;-)Stevo_666 said:
Anyways a nice six pointer for Wolves last night and a stepping stone to Champions league football next season.

It will be interesting to see who dips into the over inflated January transfer market.

After 45 plus years of following Wolves I’m already in dream land and I was grinning like a loon after watching last nights game.

Surely Wolves need to spend big if they want to have even half a chance of winning anything?"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
You mean like Leicester? Get £80m from moneybags Utd and get a better centre back in Soyuncu for £19m? Spend big, it's the only way. 'kin moneykickball.0

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. They just need to find a shyte load of money.orraloon said:You mean like Leicester? Get £80m from moneybags Utd and get a better centre back in Soyuncu for £19m? Spend big, it's the only way. 'kin moneykickball.

Funny how some Chelski fans who used to deride Arsenal for their perennial ambition to finish 4th, now regard fourth as the limit of their aspirations.

When Fosun took over Wolves, they spoke of a 10 year project. After 3 years, Wolves are in the knock out stages of Europa and in the running for a CL place. In another 7 years? Who knows?0 -
Typical Chelski fan, same mentality as City fans. Spend big to win er, mmmmm, oh that’s it, sweet FA this season as it turns out.
Wolves don’t spend big by comparison and we are still exceeding expectations, playing attractive football and progressing in all areas.
Can you say that about Chelski, City, Utd or Arsenal? 😉

Good to see we haven't dropped any more points against struggling mid-table clubs

Fair play Stevo, a good result for you in your quest for a CL spot. You are out Arsenaling Arsenal. A CL spot is the best you can hope for again and you are presently on track to mirror last season, being 20 points off the pace of the league leaders already.0 -
'Support' is too strong a word. As a kid, I was a Wolves fan, they being my local team and I could probably still name the sides from the late 60s and early 70s.Stevo_666 said:

I still look at their result but to call me a supporter would be a misnomer.
Pleased to see them doing well though.
I do find it strange when supporters of clubs on the wane feel the need to bring up past glories in a bid to deflect their current decline. (Perhaps if I searched on here hard enough, I could find examples )
A bit like Nora Batty's husband constantly trying to remind people that he once shagged Marilyn Monro. It doesn't matter, it is in the past.
If your team is only average this season, past glories are irrelevant, otherwise Notts Forest's back to back European Cups would count for something in today's age and they would be regarded as a better club than, say, Chelski.1 -
So not that interested, just here to stir a bit. I get it.ballysmate said:

Jorghino should never have stayed on the pitch, Without him up until that point, they were 2nd best and a 10 man Chelsea would not have won the game,
But despite the loss, Arsenal played with an energy (that ran out with 20 mins to go) and a determination that I haven't seen for a while, so I think there's a bit of optimism with Arteta.
Even Luiz looked like the defender he could be week in, week out.
Don't forget, Chelsea lost against Southampton, Bournemouth, City, and Everton recently. Therefore, their form is totally erratic.
Lose to Bournemouth at home but beat Spurs away!!
With Wolves, the Spuds and Man U knocking on the door, a CL spot is going to be a hard task call for a few.
I guess we'll meet Chelski in the Europa cup next season .
...and Arsenal? We can't get any worse.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0
