Fairly sure Barca has more pick pockets per a square mile.
Been handy to have kept him until the summer, in theory had him over a barrel with the contract but we all know those contracts mean very little except stating the salary. Perhaps pick up Ozil in the bargain basement to fill the gap, could do with a player who can pick a pass now.0 -

I doubt you'll get anyone from Arsenal while they're still competing with you for a top 4 spot, unless you wait until he's out of contract. That said, we sold Matic to Manure to anything is possible."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
I presume Barca see Coutinho as a replacement for Neymar? Fits perfectly into a 3 up front formation along with Messi and Suarez. Is he as good as that? I don't think so. UK defences aren't the best. They make forwards look great. I suppose given that the top 2 or 3 clubs in any league are competing for a very limited number of top class players and are now willing to pay over the odds.
It's like Kane - give him space and he looks world class, put him in front of good defences (Iceland?!) and he's nothing special.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
Oh and lets get a petition together to make Mo Salah a British Citizen.
And another thing, Ozil seems to be on or off. No consistency, lacks the work rate on occasion. Probably on account of Wenger's softly, softly approach.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Ignore the Barkley stuff, the piece re Mata’s Charity is quite thought provoking and I think sort of sums up why I lost the love of footy a while ago.....

Must go down as the longest running resignation ever.
And still going...The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

I suppose we'd better field a proper team when the six finger boys come to Stamford Bridge."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Just as well that was a free trip to The Bridge today - what a dull game...."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Everton were weird today - didn’t come to defend, didn’t come to attack, they just did nothing.0

Woo hoo! Cherries beat the Gooners. But as usual it's all about how bad Arsenal are and that Wenger should get the sack. Not much praise so far for Bournemouth digging in and keeping at it to get their just deserts.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0
