City Boy must be looking forward to tonight's match at Dean Court.
Cherries defence is utterly 5hite and the news today is that 3 first choice defenders are most likely out with injuries. I'm not a religious man but God help them tonight especially with Jesus playing for the opposition.
I predict:
Cherries 1 - 11 Man CityAlways be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0 -

I take nothing for granted with City this season mate.
I was looking forward to playing Leicester and Everton, and look how that turned out
I've got a lot of time for Bournemouth and especially Eddie Howe. Whatever happens tonight I really hope you stay up and live to fight again next season.Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.0 -

Ta.
Cherries are on a slide down the table. City will easily collect 3 points.
Eddie Howe is a great coach but his undoing this season has been blinkered loyalty to keep picking a defence that came up from Div 1. However it seems Cherries can't get experienced players in their prime to sign. We get either youngsters or mid 30s.
And don't mention Conte recalling Ake back from loan because he had a major part to play in Chelskis title run. I think the poor lad has made the bench once and that was FA Cup.
Oh well. See you on the otherside.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0 -

Two measures Spring is upon us...There is enough light after work for me to squeeze some cycling in and Arsenal wilt in two major competitions. At least they get Sutton at the weekend to build their confidence up again.0

Soooooooo, watch the match then eh lads? Good goal or what! Ten pointer in my book.

Fair play to Arsene. After many years of trying he finally has Arsenal playing like Barcelona.0

Wenger is hinting that his days are numbered. Sad but necessary. I think if he stays, Sanchez might go. He's far too good a player to be at a club that lacks ambition.
I don't agree with R Keane when he says they are not good enough. They have always been a team of huge potential never fully realised in recent years.
I don't blame Wenger directly, although he has lost some steel but I think the whole club and wage structure needs to be looked at. I think the expectations of the board should have concurrent expectations.
If Wenger does go, the roller coaster starts in the vein of MU I guess until they find a manager and a structure that fits a club of this size and it's history.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Not Eddie Howe. His stock as they say has plummeted.
I'd go for George Graham.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0 -

Well let's look at the prerequisites for the job. Ability to finish top four. Understanding of finances. Failure to see things when it suits. Failure to adapt tactics to counter opponents. A superiority complex......hold on .....as it happens......why rock the boat?0 -
They also need experience of managing an also-ran PL team. So Moyes, Van Gaal, Rodgers and Pellegrini should all be on their list."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

I've bit of a soft spot for Wenger I must admit, I look back on the invincibles team fondly for a few reasons...they played what was then fantastic attacking football and it also marked that period when footballers had to become not just ball players but athletes as well, they were hard bastards when they needed to be, Arsenal under Wenger were at the head of that transition. Plus he also had Bergkamp in his side, along with Zidane they were the two players who I would've happily paid to see play.
Admmittedly this was at the time my appreciation of the the game was at its height, it wasn't overly polluted with hype, money, overt cheating and back then I still played myself twice a weekend so maybe that's why I look back on it so with such rose-tinted views, I still follow the game but have drifted more toward rugby since then.
It is sad to say now that Wengers only quality being Arsenal manager is that it makes Piers Morgan angry, laudable to an extent but nowhere enough to keep him in the job. They desperately need something fresh and a new direction, even if it takes them further down initially.0
