Ok,i now have a shiny new turbo, thanks to you guys for your advice. Now i want to train and i see that the Sufferfest videos come highly regarded.
Now as i am new to this side of things what gear do i need for the videos to work, apart from the computer that is,what kind of cadence sensor would you recommend or any other piece of kit that i required to use the videos at its best. Please keep in mind budget though,as is the usual case it is tight.

Much of the information you require can be found through using the search facility.0

And bare in mind you don't actually need anything to use a turbo.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

Yes i realise that Sloppy, but i was thinking of the boredom factor and the issue of slacking off while using the turbo.A dvd or something similar would help keep the motivation up.But what equipment is needed and how is it applied.I have used the search button and found that i need an Ant + and a cadence sensor, how are these fitted and communicate with the pc?
Easy when you know how i know but thats what a forum is for isnt it Billy.Cannondale CAAD 8 105

You don't need anything else to do a Sufferfest but if you want to make sure you do it properly and track your fitness then have a look at the Trainer Road thread. Or the website would probably be shorter. I can highly recommend TR as well, I find turboing much less boring now and my time is not being wasted through perceived effort instead of true effort! All you need is cadence and Ant+, easy to set up.Vaaru Titanium Sram Red eTap

The search on this site is shite and you get better results by using google which shows better results from this site.
Op on my turbo I just use my garmin 500 with hr and cadence/speed sensor. The data then can be added to strava etc.Utube is great for finding vids to watch or training plans etc, well worth a look.Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori0 -

Yes i did use the search, but found it difficult to get the answer without trawling through page after page of results in the hope i `may` get the answer. How hard would it have taken you Billy to say what i needed to know or simply to ignore the post completely.
Can i assume that you have never asked a single question on the forum without someone else having asked it before.I very much doubt that.
And thankyou Elderone for your imput.Cannondale CAAD 8 105

Who are you to tell people to go else where?.It,s an internet forum ffs,why you get all snotty arsed with total strangers, maybe mommy didn,t give you enough attention.
I also know there is a rule about calling other members names,(like dick) so you fugged your self up there quoting bollox about rules then breaking said rules.
Like I said, jobs worth type.
Your welcome Davdandy. Take no notice of the idiot giving you greave,he,s probably sat in an office on his arse with nowt better to do.Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori0
