Round 2 was really tough once rain started. I enjoyed the course, the climbs but not my bike hehe. Had a very good fight with a guy on a rigid single speed for 3 laps until mid of lap 5 where he left me behind.
Finished 14th again in 4h vets. Better than expected, as had issues in the drivetrain due to mud and grit. But I guess I was not the only one.
Bike is ruined. It needs lots of care now.
Had cramps again. It's the fourth longer than 2 hours race in a row I have in same right quadriceps :?: :?:

I really suffered on this one.... My tyres were rubbish in the mud and I was rubbish on all those bloody climbs!! Not the day to be riding a 150mm travel AM machine :roll:

I'm on my not very racey orange-coloured Turner Burner again... (Currently) my only MTB!!

Due to child care issues I am giving this one a miss. Having seen the weather for the past few weeks I am not to upset about missing this one. I can't make the last round either. As long as it isn't raining too much I will be hanging around tomorrow with the camera.
Planning to do a pre-ride of the course later so will post up with how dry and dusty it isn't!0 -
Looks like the rain might hold off until after 1pm.. which will at least make the start slightly more palatable (although bound to still be wet and muddy!).0
