On today. Sprinters v Attackers. Been some great editions and still a classic despite currently being 1.HC.
The attackers won last year. 2012 podium:
1. Marco Marcato (ITA) Vacansoleil-DCM 4h 50' 34" (Quickest
2. Laurens De Vreese (BEL) Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator + 0"
3. Niki Terpstra (NED) Omega Pharma-Quick Step + 0"
Favourites: Demare, Coquard, Degenkolb, Ciolek, Farrar, Haussler, Dumoulin, Gasparotto, Boom, Roelandts, Voeckler, Chavanel. I reckon Degenkolb FTW but I'm rooting for Euskaltel's Tamouridis - actually classy rider and don't think he's got a contract for next year yet.
Who's your pick?

Under 23 race is on too - 45kph average speed in the first hour of racing with a head wind. 26 riders in the break with a 1 min advantage.0

I was going to check out the start but it seems to get further from Paris every year. It's a chilly and breezy 10° here at the moment.0
-
About 150km from the centre of Paris this year.
Break still has over 10 mins0 -

Break with 4'24, 69km to go.0 -
FDJ, Argos, Europcar and Garmin working to bring this back. Break's split falling0

Enjoyable Inner Ring preview: http://inrng.com/2013/10/preview-paris-tours/
It contains the phrase: "Fortune favours the brave". Has the mask slipped?
55km 3:45 gap. Chava looking businesslike. Degenkolb still in desperate need of a shave:

Ciolek is sporting a bushy beard.0

Who's commentating on Eurosport? The main one seems to talk a lot without actually saying anything0
-
Declan Quigley is the commentator, Matt Stephans the co-commentator. Matt Stephens is quite good IMO.0

Pressure on now. Roads get narrow so there's a fight up front.0

Euskaltel will need to get Tamouridis up the front soon - Cote de Crochu now0
-
Terpstra attacks. Ciolek dropped0
-
Problem being everyone else wants their man up there too! OPQS Pulling hard on the front0
-
Now. "The Côte de Crochu is 28.5km from the finish and is as close as the locals get to the Alps with its hairpins and 8% gradient although it’s taken at speed in the big ring." inrng...a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

Argos doing their best to neutralise these attacks0

-
Samamotins last man standing from the break. Cocquard being brought back to bunch by TV Tommy.0
-
Would love to see Chavanel get this. Ever since his solo 220km break in 2000 caught 15km from the end.
Really dont want Terpstra after his distasteful comments re Santambrogio.Contador is the Greatest0 -
What did Terpstra say? Always quite liked him, winner to come from the small break I reckon0
-
Check the Santambrogio + thread.
Sep V and Velits in that group.Contador is the Greatest0
