IS to 160 Post....still not fitting?

Hi all. I've put hydraulic disc brakes (shimano deore) on my mtb. The fork fitting is an IS mount. The brake caliper fitting is a post. The rotor is an avid 160mm. For the forks I've bought a shimano 160 post to IS adaptor and tried to fit it. However, it doesn't fit. It's almost like the rotor is too big or that the…
