    yep, I know

Maybe do it in non-permanant then so it can be added/removed as the season unfolds...

Hoods are pretty skywards also I think.

It's a classic bend bar - the shifters are positioned perfectly.

Mechanical disc brakes too. Would be great for a winter bike.

Say they managed to fit everything in the hoods.

    Hi to all!
In the past few months I get quite a few emails, asking where did I learned how to work with carbon, why did I started to work with it etc.,..and just decided to put some more informations about me and my work here, where anybody who is interested can read this.

I'm a young guy from Slovenia, 20 years old (in a few months I'll be 21). For all those who don't know it may be interesting to let you know a bit more details about me, just to get an idea about my work.
Anyway, I love to work with my hands on different projects since I was a small child. Although I'm still quite young I started to work with composites when I was 14 years old. Before that I worked for two years with a friend of mine on some rockets (he was the expert for the fuel and I made the housing). We made an interesting research and get an award as the best young Slovenian scientists, and it was time to try something new. And because I was a cyclist all that time, I started to work on some bicycle components. I started completely by myself, and learned a lot with different experiments, slowly get in contact with people from this industry, made really a lot of experiments etc.,..everything with the money that I earned with cycling at that time and I also had a scholarship that you get if you were one of the best students.

I cycle since I was 9 years old, then I started to compete when I was 11. I competed till last season, managed to get more than 50 podiums, I was also a member of our national team all those years etc.,..also rode in a Continental team, where I had the honour to race on some great races (Trofeo Laigueglia, Giro del Friuli, Tour of Slovenia, etc.,..), also with most of the protour guys, great experiences. But I realized that it's not the best I can make for my future to just keep on cycling on that level (although it was very nice) and help our team leader who of course performed better. With all the ideas that I had in my mind, and with that energy, I wanted to put my knowledge and skills in some carbon experiments and parts. So I decided to rather invest more time for my education, carbon projects, for my girlfriend, friends etc.,.. So now I cycle for fun, for my soul (not 25k km per year as before, but half the distance), and invest more time for my future career. I am a student of mechanical engineering, and hopefully in the future I'll stay in the cycling industry, because I really love this sport and I would like to put my passion and knowledge in bicycle components. So I slowly started,..and it would be a dream come true if I'll be able to work on carbon projects also in the future!

Thanks for all your support and I'll keep you updated also in the future, here just one photo from me during the Tour of Slovenia.

    Thanks!

Being Slovenian, they should get a bike made for Sagan - would be great publicity, although of course with Cannondale in the mix it isn't going to happen.

I misquoted the fact that its a mechanical system with mechanical disc brakes...

The thread on Berk's stuff on weightweenies runs to 109 pages. He's rumoured to have custom made some stuff for Sky.

Yeah you can read all his posts about it (with lots of photos) on the link below. One of the Sky mechanics is Slovenian.
