If you're going to Reading University then get in touch with the university club
http://www.rusu.co.uk/sports/RURCCroadcycling/
or reading cycling club
http://www.readingcyclingclub.com/
they're best placed to help you out and also a good way to get to know some locals in the area.0 -
Yes, I like riding in the rain...0

There used to be freewheel training at Palmer Park velodrome during the winter - probably still going on..0

The area between Reading, Henley, Maidenhead, Windsor and Bracknell is dead flat and there are plenty of nice fairly traffic free lanes to ride around that you can do fast training rides on. Go North of Henley and you have the Chilterns with some nice hills and couuntryside to ride around. Plenty of clubs to choose from as well as others have said.0

It is, just started I believe, every Tuesday and Thursday, 8.15 to 9.45, was a fiver last year. It's a free session in that you do what you like, go round in a group or just sit by yourself.
