Inner thigh fatigue

I have been road riding about 18 months now and really progressed this summer including doing ride london in 4h45. However I always seem to suffer with inner thigh fatigue. During ride london it even started to cramp a little. Is this a setup issue? It's the vmo muscle just above the knee on the inner side. I have set saddle height according to 0.883 of inseam which seems about right and also kops. Could there be anything else? Any help appreciated!

AFAIK sitting too far back does this to me, I have the saddle positioned OK for balance so have to remember to vary my position more often, sitting near the front of the saddle to utilise different muscles. I also found that moving the cleats forward a smidge helped.

Cramp can be caused by loss of salt, make sure you drink enough electrolyte drinks.

I am still getting this same pain so probably not the best reply you are going to get :D

Can be caused by pulling to the outside of the knee, so look at angles of cleats/feet.

Thanks for that. I did try sitting further forward today and that did seem to help. I will also look into setting up the cleats better as this might be causing it too. I use speedplay pedals but am changing back to look pedals as the speedplay cleats constantly move on the shoe which can't help!
