Anyone else watching it?
I'm now completely up-to-date and face a long four day wait until the next episode and after that there are only two more. Gutted.

On the up side, AMD will be making a spin-off prequel on the development of Saul.

FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

I've not seen it, but I'm told I should and would enjoy it. Don't know if I can be arsed.

Just hopefully not in the Boston Legal/Ally McBeal lawyer treatment.

I started watching it a couple of weeks ago to see what the fuss was about. Really surprised it hasn't found a channel over here with all the hype that's been surrounding it.

It was on a terrestrial channel (BBC I think), but only the first season. After that I had to rely on box-sets and dodgy (but great) streaming sites.

This last tranche is available on Netflix the day after first transmission in the U.S.

Loving the suggestion that BB is a prequel for Malcolm in the Middle; Walt in witness protection.

Something along the lines of: "Boys don't grow up, their toys just get more expensive"?

And linking Breaking Bad and toys... (I lied about no spoilers) possible spoiler.

Breaking bad is the best series I've seen in a long time. I started watching earlier in the year and devoured the whole 4.5 series in the last few months. Sometimes I was watching an episode in the morning one at lunch and one straight after work. Bangin.

    Gutted its finishing.

I too am watching, then waiting. Best U.S. series I think I've seen.

Moved onto Fringe to fill the time between Sundays. And I've got the rest of Walking Dead to catch up on.

    I think so.
I watched the first series of GOT and wanted to watch the second series. I've now had the second series for ages (at least six months, maybe a year) but haven't had much of an urge to watch it, whereas I've been champing at the bit for the next installment of BB.
Perhaps I've just forgotten how good GOT is but I know when I've been hooked by a series before e.g. The Wire, I 'squeeze' an episode in whenever I get the chance, but I've never done that with GOT.

    YMMV

Really different shows, I don't think you can compare them. They're both awesome imo.
  • Breaking Bad is great TV. I've been trying to convince people to watch it for the last three years! Not convinced about the Better Call Saul spin off. I love the character though.

I'd put it on a par with Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Mad Men etc. Not quite up there with The Wire though.

Watching House of Cards as well at the minute, highly recommended.

As NSB said, two different shows, BUT, if somebody asked me which one, and only one, I would pick to watch into perpetuity, at he same level of quality as it is at the moment, it would be BB.

Fringe is threatening to make a move into my top 5. Never got on with X Files (which this was likened to by the colleague who put me onto it), but Fringe I do like.

Yeah right. Few days more like. BB marathon sessions are the done thing because of the cliff hangers.

  • The character development in BB is truly excellent.

I caught up with episode 13 of season 5 last night.

Anyone know if episode 14 be available on Netflix tonight?

I watched all season 3 then season 4 at the weekend, finishing season 4 about 1am last night. Didn't intend to watch so late or even watch both seasons this weekend but you just get caught up in the show and want to find out what happens.

Should be available on Netflix the day after, so should be there today.
