Out on my ride this morning I came across a Boners Field and a Babs Field, didn't fancy going into Boners Field in case Boner was there, tempted by Babs Field on the off chance there was a young Babara Windsor exercising in a Carry On Camping kind of a way, phwoar :lol:

  • I go past a Fiddlers Loke on my journey to work everyday. And it does indeed look like the kind of secluded place people would go for some outdoors activity.

Is there a neatly trimmed bush at the entrance?

And is it closed to traffic once a month?

There an alternative entrance for when it is closed, but it is down a dirt track.

For those familiar with Dorsetshire you will know this one. I am led to believe that Puddletown just down the road was originally Piddletown. Re-named I believe for a visit by Queen Victoria, for obvious reasons.

I have been to Pett Bottom here in England, and the aforementioned Twatt in Orkney.

In the US I have visited Dull, Bland and Boring (all in different states)
  • There's a village on the Etape Caledonia course called Dull which is twinned with the aforementioned Boring.
