Given the extraordinary performances in recent stages, with a 41 year old beating some of the best climbers in the world and a 50 kg climber finishing 3rd in a time trial, can we expect more of the same today?
Maybe we'll see something completely ridiculous, like Tyler Farrar winning a bunch sprint?0 -

It does look like something Ikea would show off. Especially the tv.0 -
Love the photo Thom Thom!0

Pinotti has retired with a sinus infection.
IN the breakaway today:
Romain Zingle (Cofidis), Cedric Pineau (FdJ) and Fabrizio Ferrari (Caja Rural). Think its about 4.5 mins with about 80-90kms to go0 -
24km left. 33 secs the gap to the three in the break.0
-
Martin has a dig. Got a bit of a gap. 14km out.0
-
Kirby's gonna go ballistic
*mutes sound*0 -
9 second gap. He didn't look entirely committed to start with. He does now.0
-
They've got him back.
BMC looked interested so you'd assume Gilbert fancies this finish.
10km left.0 -
The way Carlton goes on about roundabouts, you'd swear they all have snipers in the middle of them.0
-
A corner! THANK GOD THEY ALL SURVIVED.0
-
Pozzovivo opting out of the run in.0

His ridiculous over-dramatising of everything and his shouting is really starting to get to me, so much so i enjoyed the calm tones of Phil Liggett on the ITV highlights shows i've watched.0 -
Gilbert from EBH. Thought EBH had that by miles.0

Ooooooooooooooh, first win of the season. Came past the Sky rider very strongly.Contador is the Greatest0
-
he finally won something!0
-
Lovely move by EBH to get a HUGE gap but immense from Gilbert to close it solo. Bodes well.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Closed a huge gap to win!0
-
was the finish on an incline?0
-
Chappeau Pip. My jaw dropped looking at the overhead and the huge gap he closed on EBH.0

WTF is Carlton on?0

Gilbert's first win in 2012 was stage 9 at the Vuelta. The rainbow curse is finally broken however. World Champs in Florence looking good.0
-
Very good finish that, these draggy uphill sprints provide excellent racing. Gilbert looks to be replicating last season's timing to perfection - wouldn't be surprised to see him retain his title. EBH always seems to go too early but it nearly worked this time, Puccio made sure the others took a slightly longer route. OGE busy leading out no-one again!0

Gary Imlach answered my unasked question - has WC ever gone the whole season without winning?
Stephen Roach in 1988 apparently - mind you his 1987 wasn't too bad.0 -

Is this the first time that these words have ever all appeared in the same sentence together in the English language?0
