I have recently got a basic turbo trainer on loan with the option to buy if i like it and have been looking into turbo trainer workouts and videos but was wondering if there were any trial videos i could use before spending on videos that could be no use if i end up giving it back.

I tried it for the first time last night for about 45 minutes varying high and low cadence/resistance but found it really difficult to keep an eye on interval times so thinking some form of visual aid could help.

DVDs to buy and Sufferfest. Also a few websites that provide ready made sessions - timed intervals - you add the music etc. Or just make your own you tube play list?

Sufferfest are ridiculously cheap so just buy 1 and try it - no risk there!

TrainerRoad at approx £6 for a month is also a bargain and while it doesnt offer the video element it gives you workouts to follow. You might need a bit of extra it though.

Cyclingtorrents have all the cycling footage you could hope for. Download your favourite race and off you go.

Chris Haskell has some race footage you can download from YouTube which are pretty good.

You can download from YT with the Firefox video downloader pluging

Just for info I'm working on my own VR trainer software which, given the usual ANT+ pickups will let you turn your cheapo turbo trainer into a VR system, a few bugs to sort out.
