I feel like I'm on a hill in Wimbledon, looking at a giant screen and shouting 'Come on Greg!'

The old boy only' has a half marathon to go. Seems like he might outwit the bears after all.
Little bit impressed. Just a little.

Edit: 7.30 Transition 2. Clearly had a nap.

Running your first marathon against medical advice after the first two legs of a triathlon? More than a little impressive in my opinion (also a bit stupid).

Route doesn't take in Balham Hill. Jus' sayin'

(however, triathlon is only 1.5km/40km rather than 3.8km/180km. Fine, moderately impressed).

Yeah, oops, my bad. Ironman, not triathlon. Triathlons are only for wimps, like the Brownlee boys.

Well raced! Maybe he rode a bear for the run?!
  • Thanks all. Full report to follow. But it was a tough day at the office, that's for sure. There was a bear on the run course but unfortunately he wasn't amenable to giving me a ride home...

Leg seems ok, but have to wait 2-3 weeks to see whether a stress issue develops (they take that long to show).

    Never again. Never.

That's what they all say. People with hangovers, mothers after the birth, and clearly Ironmen. In the meantime, welcome back to SCR. :D
