Adam Hansen appreciation

Still going...
Hansen made a brief attack late on stage three, powering clear in impressive style and getting a gap of around 20 seconds. But he was reeled in before the final short uphill ascent.
“I attacked because I was bored,” Hansen told Cyclingnews on Tuesday.

I was never a fan of the aussie riders, but Hansen is a cool dude, and rides with class. I reckon he could do well in the spring classics if given a good chance.Giant TCR Advanced II - Reviewed on my homepage

Adam Hansen (Lotto-Soudal) will achieve a record-breaking 13 consecutive Grand Tours completed if he can finish the Vuelta a Espana, which starts this weekend.
The Australian equalled the record of Spaniard Bernardo Ruiz with number 12 when he finished the Tour de France last month. However, the Spaniard achieved his feat in the 1950s, when the Vuelta was two weeks long rather than three.

Incredible record to go for, great personality to promote the sport.0 -
I know everyone goes on about how tough it is to finish so many, and it is, but it's the fact he keeps getting selected which surprises me. Must be able to add a lot of value to keep getting selected.0

I expect he's also great for team morale - always positive and friendly, a seemingly great guy. I would imagine the team love him.
As well, it's a hell of an accomplishment getting a record like that, which is good publicity for the team.
Put that together with his domestique work and occasional stage wins and I expect it's an easy decision for the team. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

He's worth an enormous amount of publicity. If he gets in a break you'll hear all about his incredible record. He's also got two GT stage wins (2013 Giro and 2014 Vuelta). He's huge value on social media (gives great tweet), has his own cycling shoe range and can be guaranteed to do something publicity-attracting like drink a beer on a mountain or pull a wheelie or two. Oh, he can put in a decent shift as a domestique as well.
Since 2012, apart from Greipel, the only other GT stage winners they've had are Galopin and Bak (ThomThom Alert Klaxon!) - with one each.
I'd say that he's probably the first name on the team sheet for most GTs.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

I didn't see much of Hansen this tour. I wonder if he was less newsworthy now he's extending rather than breaking the record?Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

The GCN vid of what he packs in his suitcase for a grand tour is pretty cool, worth a watch, seems to have thought of everything!0

The real story is that he wrote the software the team uses for logistics and admin.
