New Road Policing Measures ...

The test for inconsiderate/careless driving is in a way subjective anyway. If you get stopped by a copper before, they had to summon you to court. Now they can ticket you. You can go to court and argue your case before the beak or pay up. Seems like a common sense way for motorists who have ballsed up to pay a fine and get on with their day.Ecrasez l’infame0

Never mind. Bad journalism by the Beeb. Those are supposed examples of the things that might be caught by careless and inconsiderate driving, which is the offence that is now captured by the new regime.
What, the whole list?0 -
Think so, yes. If you look up the CPS guidance on careless/inconsiderate driving they are pretty much all examples of what are considered to fall within those offences. So probably the Beeb just rehashed a press release that contained that list.0

1/ There are no new rules
2/ This is merely the introduction of a fixed penalty for "Driving without due care and attention" which is the existing rule (law) that covers the offences that keep being mentioned.
Many of these are not taken to court as most officers see it as a sledgehammer for a nut, an FP may well encourage officers to look to a middle ground between a reprimand and court.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

Only some aren't really offences at all and seem like a list of mild annoyances, put together by someone with a chip on their shoulder.0
