    Thanks for the description, I'll bear it in mind while using CRC

    I really think there's a very fine line between SLX and XT, I was looking through the ads on pink bike and I think I'll try buying 2nd hand mechs and shifters as I really don't see what can wear out on those parts

    That way I can mix SLX and XT with the odd XTR if I get lucky or a SRAM part

    There's a lot of XT front mechs for £15, is this a good price?
