Knee pain

Been bothering me the past couple of weeks. I thought it was because I'd been sitting cross legged at work, but it's not really going away.
It's not the knee as such but the muscle at the back of the leg which connects to the bottom of the knee, cycling does seem to make it worse. It's really painful as such, more of a dull ache and I can ignore it, but that's usually a bad plan!
Anything I can do to help or adjustments on the bike I can make?
