No he did not. Even if he had why would I care, its an opinion by a random person on a forum.

Your attempt to stir things up is duly noted. Yellow card for you nweststeyn.

Everyone knows a bike is not a person, and if it were, it would be a woman...

It was the Look 695 wot said it, not it's owner!

(P.S. On topic - I think the bike in question is a stunner. Absolutely love Looks. Would do anything to get my hands on one of the La Vie Claire Heritage edition framesets).

enves went on my BMC. amazing wheels!
  • Love the 695! Love my look to bits but I must admit i'm also not a fan of the stems, they just aren't very sleek or elegant, just big fat chunky blocks. Otherwise the bike is a beaut! :)

Don't like that colour scheme at all, looked much better in white and red when I saw one in my LBS.

    Whiskey-posting upthread.

It's a lovely bike. And if it wasn't, then I'd keep my mouth shut.

It's beautiful... but I still dream of owning the heritage/mondrian colourway frameset. Where's that lottery ticket?

i almost almost bought the mondrian but common sense prevailed!
    1. i needed the bike straight away as id just snapped at the time my only bike and there was a minimum of a 6 week wait for the mondrian paint scheme...
    2. this matches my club kit
    3. you need some serious cahones to pull off he mondrian

Hah yeah I thought about the Mondrian to but decided I couldn't risk not being able to live with it once the wow factor had worn off plus it was another £500 and 8 weeks wait so went for the same scheme as you did (prefer the understated-ness compared with the red/white team look one)
Inspected my c-stem internals at the weekend, the notches are indeed worn and the replacement bits are £60 (ouch) but better than a new stem @ £400! The BB tool thing is £17 which is a complete rip-off for what it is but going to have to get one anyway. So you do get a bit ripped-off by Look with the spares/proprietary tools but still not regrets on the purchase

The country colours weren't an option when I bought mine (I like the China and Brasil ones more than the GB one personally...).
@spasypaddy - there's a pic of it in the Zed2 manual, it's more of a spacer than a tool as such (which is why it irks me it's £17). The non-driveside lockring is a split ring so when you screw it back on the gap needs to be exact in order for it to mate with the BB shell threads - without any tension on the lockring allen bolt it won't mate, took me a while to realise what was going on and then a while longer to get the tension right through trial-and-error, the 'tool' is basically just a metal spacer that you clamp in the lockring gap so it makes it the correct size
