I have never been a fan of French styling. French cars were always quirky and slightly odd even if they were innovative. Some of their bikes are the same but this does look a superb bike and not too radical. The head tube looks a bit funky but then so does the Spesh Venge's.

    Great choice dude.

I appreciate they are supposed to be great bikes, and it probably rides amazingly but....

    Fugly!

Definitely a case of marmite there.

    The stem is hiddeous

The top tube has a funny bend in it.

The less said about the wheels the better.

Looks great. I personally preferred it with the ENVE wheels but the Mavics still look good - I bet they're much faster in real life conditions!

I definitely think it's a marmite bike as said above. I'm in the love group though!

Which bit do you require clarity on?

People post photos of their pride and joy and people comment. It is a personal opinion and counts for nothing to anyone elese. You like it and thats great, I don't. We can't all like the same things.

on why you'd feel the need to slate the bike. you dislike it so much you actually wrote 6 separate lines on it. personally if i open a thread with a bike i dont like i close it rather than slate it.

oh well each to their own. and mine is nicer than yours

Smidsy has a valid point. We aint here to blow smoke up your arse. If you want constructive criticism then be prepared to hear people honest opinion. The fact that Smidsy has the taste of a 15 yr old chavvy Essex bird is not the point here :-D

OK everybody a new rule has been requested.

Rule# 69 - Only post favourable comments about peoples bicylce. No adverse comments are allowed. Everyone must only state what is good about a persons bike. If you can not say anything nice, do not say anything at all. OK!

Nice bike (I have one with less fancy wheels!), Smidsy obviously has no taste (although the c-stems are pretty gopping) but he does have a right to comment. Although the ensuing spam on the thread is taking piss.

Anyway, back on topic, couple of questions for you - do you find your c-stem sometimes moves (drops) if you hit a pothole? Mine does and it's starting to get annoying (even when over-torquing the bolt it still can happen, I think the notches must have worn from previous movement), have seen the problem mentioned elsewhere but it doesn't seem a common problem. Also do you ever clip your heel on the rear mech cable where it comes out of the chainstay? Finally, did you get the nut-setting tool (or whatever it's called) to use on the BB lockring in your pack of bits? Finally took my chainset off the other day to have a look and it's a bitch getting it back together without the tool, waiting on the bike shop to respond if it should have been included (had mine since 2011 though and only just noticed).

nferrar - my c stem is completely flat so cant drop, i tried to lower it the other day and it wont budge! ive got plans to cut the steerer tube in 2 weeks to drop it by 16mm and then i'll have another look.

i dont think i clip my heel on my rear mech cable, i havent got any wear on my chainstays either.

i dont know what the nut setting tool is... have you got a picture if you do i can have a look in my bag of look bits tonight for you, would be happy to lend it if you were in need

For what it's worth - I like the bike. Also, for what it's worth - I think the trolling on this thread is outrageous.

If you only want good comments about your bike post pictures of it on the Look 695 appreciation society website.

On here we are free to state our opinion. There is no malice intended. I thought the point of this part of the forum was for people to pass comments?

No he did not. Even if he had why would I care, its an opinion by a random person on a forum.

Your attempt to stir things up is duly noted. Yellow card for you nweststeyn.
