Tell me was Cav outside the time limit the other day and let back in again ?
No he wasn't. But thank you for your time.

He was angry and took out a competitor's lead out rider in a pre-meditated strike.

This is defamatory. I'm not experienced enough to judge the actual crash with confidence, but I'm shocked if this is a serious suggestion.

So he should stop talking to the media?

Of course not Rich, but sticking his oar in isn't helping matters is it?

He wasn't sticking his oar in. He was asked about it and used a phrase that was unintentionally funny (hence why I mentioned it). Just like when Ian Wright said Tony Adams admitting to being alcoholic "took a lot of bottle".

Obviously you have little sense of humour and are on Defcon 1 in the sensitivity stakes.

    Back on topic:

A foul act and any decency says it should never have occurred.

Tacks on the road could kill or maim, however p!ss thrown at you is plain disgusting.
'Performance analysis and Froome not being clean was a media driven story. I haven’t heard one guy in the peloton say a negative thing about Froome, and I haven’t heard a single person in the peloton suggest Froome isn’t clean.' TSP

Surely the suggestion in the first post isn't that shocking? It is one of the possibilities as to how Veelers' crash occurred. I'm not sure Cavendish bumped Veelers with the deliberate intention of causing him to crash but the contact between the two riders could have been avoided by Cavendish. The rules might state that a rider is entitled to hold a straight line in the sprint (or more so that changing your line in a sprint is a breach of the rules) but common sense should dictate that defending that "straight line run" to the finish line shouldn't be defended in a manner that risks serious injury to another rider. The commissaire has ruled in favour of Cavendish so it's "case closed".

Cavendish being sprayed with urine is not on, regardless of what happened in the previous day's sprint.

Under no circumstances is this kind of thing deserved, funny, acceptable or anything but an awful display of c*ntery.

And whilst the posters on this thread who say it's deserved may be joking and/or trolling, it clearly highlights your lack of moral fibre and/or the fact that you too are pretty awful people.

This sport is beautiful for many reasons and it doesn't need this kind of behaviour.

Was there any need for that?

To be fair it shows what a professional he really is. If it had happened to you or me I think we probably would've slammed on the brakes and tried to find the culprit and show them how we felt about it but he rode on through......just saying

No one, be they Cavendish, McQuaid, Kimmage, Fuller, Armstrong or Di Luca deserves to get wee-wee chucked on them. Ever.

    read it wrong!
  • So someones thrown pjss all over Cavendish during the TT. Cant say i blame them he does act like a petulant little prjck sometimes.

And i hate to say 'i told you so' to all the so called 'pros' on here, but i said last year he had no chance of winning the green jersey again whilst Sagan was competing and ive been proved right.

I like Cav, but hes always moaning..the lead out wasnt 100% right...someone cut across him...his top smells of pjss...blah blah blah.

I haven't missed you at all. I'd love to know which forum 'regular' you are...

Not only that, but at the end of the stage he still signed autographs for the waiting fans rather than rushing off for a shower and to get changed. I think that says quite a lot about him as a person............

There is some drivel on here. It was while he was signing autographs that his manager came and informed him he had been sprayed with urine.

The taste in his mouth probably gave the game away

    Drivel indeed.
