Heavy tired legs - pre-etape quick fix tips needed

Anyone got any tips for refreshing tired legs quickly?
Supposed to be tapering (did a 45-min climbing session @ tempo effort on the turbo last night) but even these reduced sessions see lactic and soreness building up quickly and leaving me with very heavy legs the next day. Etape in 4 days and would like to be feeling fresh, not shattered!
Thx.

rest or some very gentle spins, a gentle ride on the Saturday with a couple of brief efforts to wake up the system and you will be good to go.0

As above rest, there is nothing you can do now to get a change in fitness, but you can tire yourself out. I would make sure you get some very easy rides in to keep the legs stiffen up, and perhaps the day before a couple of very short sharp efforts to wake the legs up.0

Thanks all, will avoid any more tempo efforts and keep things nice and light!0

Yep, as above. Either rest or easy spinning for 1/2 hour to 1 hour or so max each day - heard it described as "taking your bike for a walk" . Plus, as said above, on the day before, maybe throw in a couple of short hard efforts to "prime" the legs.
Other than that rest with feet up for a bit, and maybe a few actual walks to stretch the legs too. Possibly a bit of stretching if you're used to it (but don't start now if you're not).0 -
Thought of investing in a massage to chase all of that lactate out of your deep tissue?Allez Triple (hairy with mudguards) - FCN 4

I had one 10 days ago - definitely helped but the sports physio didn't recommend I have another until after the event...0 -
So did the Col Forclaz on Monday, the Semnoz and Mont Revard on Tuesday and Col de la Madelaine today, are you saying I'm not doing this tapering lark right ?0

 no not quite like that - mine is definitely TCTP hard intervals-related!0

"Correct me if I am wrong, but have you ever heard a British person complain they are suffering from "heavy legs"?
Fascinated by a malady to which British people appear immune, I went to my local pharmacy and asked the smiling young chemist if she could advise me on remedies for heavy legs.
"Oh, bad luck," she said indicating two entire shelves of pills and potions. "Do you get heavy legs in the winter too? I only suffer from them in the summer," and she handed me a cream with "real grape seeds", assuring me it was very effective when rubbed vigorously twice daily from the ankle to the knee.
I have often wondered if one can get signed off work with heavy legs. I am almost tempted to call my editor to try out the scenario.
"Oh yeah hi, it's Emma Jane. Look I'm really sorry but I'm not going to make it in today - I'm afraid I've got heavy legs again."
The French consume more than a third of the entire world's supply of heavy legs medicines
Unfortunately, my boss is a regular listener to this programme, so by now he will be aware of my British immunity to the illness and would presumably tell me to hop it.
Dr Auber confirms that British people simply do not suffer from this mysterious weightiness of the lower limbs, and adds that the French consume more than a third of the entire world's supply of heavy legs medicines. "0
