I realise this topic isn't particularly seasonal - obviously it makes more sense to ride outside at the moment, but thought I'd ask while the thought is still in my mind.

Does anybody have any experience of either of these:

and

I used Golden Cheetah and Trainer Road quite a lot last winter, but wanted to know if there are any more interesting options without splashing out on a dedicated VR trainer. For what it's worth, I have Tacx Antares rollers and an ANT+ speed/cadence sensor connected to my PC.

  • Hi,

The Ergoplanet software is only suitable for the stationary biketrainers from the German brand Daum Electronic. It won't work with any other brand.

Cadence VR you can use with any trainer. You can use it with or without ANT+ sensors. If you use ANT+ sensors the videospeed is controlled by your cyclingspeed. All relevant data (Heartrate, speed, cadence, power) is displayed in the dashboard. There is also a large cyclingvideo collection available of over 50 titles.
