    You need a bike fit then. One where you only ANSWER the questions :wink:

    Also consider this point of view; when I made the transition to road bikes I knew I wouldn't be much of a climber straight away. So I made it my mission to sit down all the time. I promise you, in 4 years of road biking, my a$$ was glued to the saddle!

    This year, my training got more serious because I wanted to do longer distances (my goal was actually a couple of sportives), I trained at going up hills. First still seated. Kept the cadence high and the climbs were steady, but I could do them. Only when I was comfortable with getting up the hills I thought I was prepared to attack them. So I tried standing up and giving it some welly. It was a revelation! My Strava segment times are tumbling, I'm getting top 10 times all over the place and I'm considering I actually CAN ride a bike now.

    I don't think I would have been able to do this properly without the groundwork of sitting down first...
