I think No Sweat's bank account just shrunk (or expanded - that would explain his his enthusiasm)

Could have bought a decent bike and a year's supply of blow and hookers for that.

...if I'd just acquired that sort of cash, do you honestly think I'd still be hanging around on this forum?

If you can't ask questions about something interesting here, where can you?

So that's why you're hardly ever here any more?
I did the same, which is why I went away for a while. But now I've spent all my money on hookers, coke, Sheepsteeth's mum, and paying Cooldad to pleasure himself in front of me.

Oh i see i thought you'd spent all your money on expensive hookers so now you're back here trying to groom Cooldad into some free action.

Well, yeah. I thought since I was such a loyal customer he might give me some kind of gratification overdraft facility.

It's an overcomplicated solution to a problem that doesn't exist, which actually brings about it's own problems. It also demonstrates a misunderstanding of bicycle engineering at a fundamental level. It has, literally, nothing going for it

And it looks very gay.

  • When I was a junior roadie there was a older chap that used to come out on our 'fast' club run on a Moulton. He never had a problem keeping up, the frame certainly didn't look flexi, and that little bit of suspension meant he laughed in the face of minor potholes and poor road surfaces which had the rest of us cursing and swearing.
I've never ridden one and can't afford one, but I wish I could! Alex Moulton was a great 'outside the box' British engineer - just because it looks different doesn't mean it doesn't work.
The prices are getting silly though.

That presumably reflects demand and supply.

I'm open minded and no way did I slag it off. But why is it £5k or whatever it went for? Ok I get supply and demand etc but you'd have to be loaded, stupid or both to buy one

95% of the general population wouldn't pay £100 for a bicycle, wouldn't 'appreciate' the benefit of doing so, and would question the intelligence of anyone who did...

It's an assumption, but I'm guessing you're on this forum because you would spend more than £100 on a bicycle. Does that make YOU stupid?

Things are worth what someone is willing to pay. You don't have to agree with them.

    Simples.

    Prove it.
Because, you couldn't possibly be pulling numbers out of your arris could you? No, that would be what a moron does.

I was actually agreeing with you to an extent you tool

But as you've put it like that. People who buy bikes (which includes me) know about bikes (most if the time)! I probably wouldn't spend more than £2500 on a bike so don't get the rational of spending that much on a niche bike. Some people spend a lot more I know!

But you're right I'm a stupid, narrow minded, ignoramus!

Oh dear we are throwing our toys out the pram....

YeehaMcgee you know full well that 95% of statistics are made up on the spot. Especially on the internet.

Welshkev, read my post, I did not call you stupid...because, I too am on this forum, and happily spend more than £100 on a bike (and have done, more than once) - 'Does that make you stupid?' is what we call a rhetorical question.

And? Just cause we agree one some things doesn't mean we'll agree on all of them. In fact, it's highly improbably that any two people would agree on everything.
You know I don't like it when people spout made-up shite.
