Too small for Brad's bike.
It's not small. It's just further away.
Porte really is tiny, isn't he?

Porte is 1.72 (I'm 1.70) and 62kg (I'm 58), I must be practically microscopic!0 -
Froome interview with Dutch NOS: http://nos.nl/video/521269-chris-froome ... enner.html
The actual interview was in Curacao last November, published now for the TdF. Cue images of Kenya, zebras, Augustyn falling off a mountain, etc. Interesting that he suggests Porte waiting for him during that first TdF stage where he got a puncture was more Porte's own spontaneous decision than a Sky plan.
Unfortunately the interview is by Mart Smeets, who's always more interesting to show off his own non-existent knowledge, and tends to interrupt people when they are about to say something meaningful.0 -

Relatively speaking he looks chubby in 2011! At what point in the season was that taken? Is there a comparison to 2011 Vuelta?0

With you 100%. Just can't stand the bloke. Unfortunately I think this means the next two-and-a-bit weeks are going to make for rather unsatisfying viewing...My cycle racing blog: http://cyclingapprentice.wordpress.com/

Can't stand? Based on what exactly? I'm assuming that you dont know him so based on his cycling style? The very limited view we get of his personality from interviews? His face? Not trusting his performance?0 -

I'm a bit of a Wiggins fan as well, though I recognise he can be a right tw@t at times and I find it very difficult to warm to Froome. His missus doesn't really help things.
I still hope he turns Contador inside out though.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

I like Froome, he seems quiet and intelligent from what I've seen, more importantly a damn site more entertaining to watch than Wiggins, if we are comparing them, and deserves a chance to try and go all out to win a grand tour. I have no problem with Wiggins but the mod thing it's a bit lame. I think both of them have done themselves no favours with all the stuff about the leadership last year.0 -

Agree with this. Wiggins gives more entertainment in an interview, but Froome more entertaining on the bike.Mens agitat molem0 -

In a recent interview with the Telegraph Froome says he would rather wash factory floors then cheat to get where he is, that he thinks people want to stop talking about doping and that the last person to back up the Tour (ie win multiple times) was Lance...someone should tell him Contador has won three Tours not to mention his two Giros and two Vueltas.Contador is the Greatest0

Omitting Contador was quite odd. No reason to acknowledge Armstrong's back to back wins and omit Contador's 2010 win (on the road)
Maybe he doesn't want to talk about the dopers still active in the peloton.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

having read the article it is clear why he doesn't mention Contador, he is talking about winning back to back tours, which Contador hasn't done. He had one taken off of him for a doping offence, no matter how small the trace in the sample was, he is a convicted doper. It is strange to mention Lance, but maybe because he is such a huge figure in the history of cycling. I also get the vibe that Contador and Froome don't particularly like each other, so maybe that has factored in his thinking.0

Agree. Even if he was doping up to the eyeballs his tour victory was dominant and impressive.
His form since Sky hired Leinders has been nothing short of exceptional as was the majority of Sky's riders.0 -

He probably feels the same as Wiggins. You work and work to get to the top, and all lazy so called journalists can do is accuse you of being a cheat. You tell them you are not and they say "Ah well, Armstrong said that". I would take the same stance as Brad, with a few more expletives. It probably hacks them off even more that there are convicted dopers welcomed back into the peloton and allowed to carry on in teams run by proven dopers. :roll:0 -

Very true, but what can you expect, and how can you expect change? When one of most outspoken anti-doping team is constantly accused of doping, yet you have silly fan boys, still claiming riders have won titles that they have had taken off of them for cheating.0
