Lesson #1 Assos is overpriced. :-)
You haven't got any ASSOS so how do you know? You mustn't let your envy/bitterness of the ASSOS multi coloured fashionista's get in the way of a rational response.
I feel you rather missed the point. £20 to get wet versus £200 to get wet
When I say it performs the same I mean mine is useless in very wet weather too. I have no need to try Assos to know that.
How dare you under price my ASSOS Luffewaffe top it was at least £250! :x0 -

However, I cant cycle in the rain as my Pinarello falls apart if it gets wet.
disintegrates if you hose it clean or so ive heard
Or from sweat while on the turbo trainer as my LBS told me after the bearings in the sealed headset failed after 5 months.
So basically Pinarellos are great as long as you live in a desert and you never sweat0 -
Surely if you did live in a desert you would sweat A LOT.
So Pinarellos are great as long as you keep them in a dry climate and never ride them :-)Yellow is the new Black.0 -

Glad its not just me - I'm in Derbyshire too and can honestly say I think i've riden twice this year when there has been no wind. Saying that, it wasn't THAT windy last night and this morning - around 15mph...
Rain doesn't stop me cycling, just need some gutters on my eyebrows... I do tend to get the MTB out when its really windy though - bit more stability in crosswinds than the road bike."I look pretty young, but I'm just back-dated"0 -
i like riding in the rain0

I had one of the best rides for ages, water streaming off me and battling the wind. I got home like I'd been hosed down, feeling really happy!
As I said to wor lass "If I waited for good weather, I'd be waiting forever"
Thats the spirit. Went out in the monsoon that was Wales yesterday, I shouted at the sky "C'mon, Is that all you've got you B*****D!"
I'm with you, I've renamed my (never ending) winter bike Lieutenant Dan as the scene of him on top of the shrimp boat is all I can think of when the wind and rain just won't quit, but nor will I :twisted:http://app.strava.com/athletes/686217
Come on! You call this a storm? Blow, you son of a bitch! Blow! It's time for a showdown! You and me! I'm right here! Come and get me!0 -
I don't know what you're all on about, the weather's fine here
Maybe it's all about expectations - when you live in Scotland if the sleet isn't blasting horizontally into your face it's "a braw day"0 -

Aye , I've just had 2 weeks off work at home near Glasgow and the weather has been fine , mostly ! Got plenty of riding done , cut the grass a few times and , much to my wifes annoyance , managed to relax on the sun lounger in the garden.
Kids at school, wife at work and the sun shining .....0 -

Me too, now that the sun is shiningScience adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.
