Hi everyone ..Its been a very long time since I posted a new bike tread.
Thought it was time to share my latest build. I am super excited about this one, as its my first proper Downhill rig.
Done!! Super, super happy. I can't wait to ride it. Totally stoked about the weight too (29.96lbs/13.5kg)
Since my last bike tread which was a Santa Cruz Nomad C, I've build a custom Titanium hard tail with a lefty fork. I've haven't had the time to post that up but would like to do that after I've done this one….
Here is some of my older bikes that I've posted up here.

Still a total weight weenie. I'm planning a light strong stiff DH rig. Being a huge fan of my Nomad and VPP, it was only fit for me to buy a V10c.
Glad I waited till now to build as they released the Enve made carbon rear triangle this year.
So here we go…please feel free to comment, suggest and ask question about this build….

I don't know much about bikes, but I know expensive when I see it. Some lovely looking kit there.0

Very nice!
Is the CCDB air heavier than the stock coil shock then?0 -
Saw one of these (complete bike) in a shop today - same frame in same colours with some massive 40mm Fox forks up front and a price tag of "about 8 grand"! Gorgeous looking thing though.0

How'd you work out its heavier? It's about 500g lighter according to goose!
Any air shock is going to be lighter than a coil shock..... As Mr.lawman said its about 500g lighter (488g)
My stock shock from my SC frame. 1044g

I wouldn't have gone for those cranks myself, and you'll be wanting a 34T up front, but bang on with the rest of it
Thanks DCR00.
Some DH route here in HK still has some small hills to climb so a 34T will be too much for me. and I'm actually I'm going to go up with a 33T as I think I've be spinning too much on a 32T.
I kind of agree with the crank. I did want the mother of all cranks. The Shimano Saint. The weight of it put me off. (Guess my weight weenie got the better of me ) I then thought about the Truativ DH XO but I've never been a fan of Truvativ cranks plus I don't like the look of them.
Then I thought about the SIXC after reading a good review at Pinkbike. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/RaceFace-S ... -2012.html

Sorry, I thought you meant frame only was 3066g, not including shock!0 -
Take the shocks out of the equation and frame only that v10 weighs more or less the same as mojo HD!! Crazy how far things have come in two years!! The v10 without shock is actually lighter than a nomad carbon too according to Santa Cruz, this is going to be easily sub 33lbs I reckon, seriously light for a DH bike! My first xc hardtail weighed that much0
-
Finish building already i'm bouncin on my chair waiting!0

Saint cranks with either a purple or lime crank skin would look pretty sick...0 -
Nice! Love the brakes...0

Just read the bit about the ti hardtail with lefty! !! Want to see that a lot! !0

All the parts are here!!!
But just been slammed with work at the moment so no time to put bike together....anyway had some time and took some more photo's of parts.
The handlebar Enve DH uncut 800mm (241g). Will probably cut it to 780mm or even maybe 760mm.
Enve zero set seat post (192g). Uncut 400mm. Will cut at lease 150mm off. Abit of a waste but has to be done.
