Freeloading knob.

Again.

Chelsea - Not a great performance but clearly know how to win.

Why doesn't someone who played and deserves to lift the cup not tell him to fark off?

If you was near me and it was after 11 am, I would buy you a beer!

I imagine John terry never takes his kit off, WTF did he have his kit on?

+ 1000,000 to the freeloading knob comment! UEFA should make a rule that nonplaying members of the team cannot pick up the trophy or get kitted up. the man is an embarresment to the club and himself.

Didn't it used to be a rule. If a player didn't play, they didn't get to pick up the cup or get a winners medal even un-used subs didn't get one.

I assume he played in the earlier rounds. But yes that used to be a rule in FA cups I think.

And yes he is a knob

My friend has done some editorial work for Chelsea TV and has told me some of the more juicy Terry moments that they've told them to edit out, chief among them is him standing next to (enter the name of Chelsea's most recent manager, I can't keep up) and giving the team instructions.

Terry operates well above his station as a player - and no one has ever been able to reign him in.

Its wrong that he gets to lift the cup in a game that he didn't play and didn't contribute to the team winning whereas the player at the end - one after Cole but before Benitez lifting the cup - is asking permission mid celebration.

Benitez is the only person, like Di Matteo before him, are the only people who deserve to lift their respective trophy wins given the damned if you do or don't situation they were placed under.

He'd have played in earlier rounds surely?
Same as saying someone that didn't play in Man Utd's win against Villa shouldn't be able to lift the Premier League trophy.

Don't get me wrong, he's still a knob.

The rules in the league have changed regarding who gets medals, It used to be that you had to play X number of games to qualify for a medal, now the winning club gets X medals and it is up to them how they are distributed among the players.

With the European comps, i assume that as you have to name a squad of 25 players, they give 25 medals out to the winner.

    Regardless JT is a Knob

He should get a winners medal. But to walk up the stairs last and to lift the cup alongside a player who actually played in the game that won the actual cup... it lacks class.

And if I'm saying someone or their actions lack class then they must really lack class.

He had a right to be there as club captain and contributor in no small way to CFC's success. As for the kit - dunno - maybe he was told by the club to dress like that?

On a slightly different note, I love all this knob, scumbag crap. I'm no fanboy, but FFS, get a grip.

You have no idea what he's like as a man or a person, just whatever the media decide to throw at you.

Sure he's been an ar$ehole in the past - and none of us have EVER done anything wrong? Give me a break.

It's like listening to people say 'I like/don't like him/her etc' about people off TV - eff off, you haven't a clue. Conversely, look what a great guy Jimmy Savile was to loads of people......until recently.

I know that he treats the disabled bays on Esher High Street as his own personal parking spaces. I know that he's suffering a few injuries at the moment, but come on....

It's not a one-off either, I'm reliably informed that he trots down to the council offices each and every month to pay his collection of fines for parking in them. I suppose that it's his equivalent of a parking meter.

Then there is the whole 'being a nasty racist' thing.

He's got his faults - I'm not excusing him, but you could go to almost any supermarket car park now and find a dickhead parked where they shouldn't be.

They should up his fines for persistent offending, rising to a ban for >3 of the same kind.

The racist thing is very shaky and he was cleared so innocent until proven guilty - unless it's the FA....

Yes, and people who do that in supermarket car parks are also scumbags.

Pointed out to a woman in a Bentley that she was parked in a parent and child bay in Waitrose the other day when she didn't have a child. She completely went off on one. Scumbag.

To be fair, I'm 33 and if I ever give my mum a lift to the supermarket, I use the Parent-Child spaces.

No, I'm not joking. It's perfectly legitimate.

UEFA regulations insist that any player who wishes to lift the trophy must be wearing kit... so pointless to have a dig at him. He played in earlier rounds so deserved his medal, and IMHO the Club Captain should lift the trophy.

DDD is bitter because Chelsea continue to win trophies, whilst Arsenal under-perform year after year after year after year...

Since Arsene Wenger last won a trophy at Arsenal, all other 91 English league clubs have changed their manager.

It seems much more appropriate to me that the captain on the day lift the trophy. The problem with Terry is that, leaving aside the long stream of bad behaviour off (and on) the pitch, he has no humility at all and absolutely no self-awareness.

Who cares? Certainly not Chelsea fans. I'll not be teaching my son to look up to footballers. He's a knob no doubt, but he's been a great player so I'm happy to put up with him. Thankfully Chelsea have/had model pros to balance him out - Zola, Petrescu, Mata, Cech etc.
