    Crazy idea time....

It wouldn’t surprise me if Sky are using Wiggins as a domestique. They are saying he has ambitions to win everything as a ruse so everyone else keeps an eye on him, then they win other events – see Froome, Porte, Uran, Henao. Wiggins himself said that when he won gold in the time trial in London he’d achieved all he’d ever dreamed of...

    ^ That's on original thought.

One more 200m or so uphill before:

And Taborre has a wee burl off the front.

Just back from watching Stage 1 of the Tour of Picardie and now settling in for the rest of this stage.

    It's not a bad life :-)

You may not like Sella for his past doping but he sure does not ride wheels.

Hansen climbs pretty well for a big guy. Over 75kg I think.

    From yesterday's stage 6 thread:

Cyclingnews has him (Cavendish) in red. He needs to pick up points on stages like tomorrow if there is any hope of him keeping it.
With the sawtooth profile tomorrow think he might struggle to pick up the TV points & guess as they are towards the end unless his team kill themselves to keep it all together, in the last 1/3 of the route he might also struggle at the end too.
Cavendish was dropped about 20 mins ago, 48 km out, has two teammates with him.

Taborre comes from the stage finish town, Pescara.
I imagine he’d like to go for it, but he doesn’t seem to be getting properly away.

Bit slippery there... raining, it seems.

Let's see how the chasing Fantini rider takes that corner.

Uh-oh. Moist surfaces. Sella down. Time for Ryder/Cadel to attack Wiggo, surely?

Hansen eased off slightly, didn't he? Knowing it was in his interests to have Sella back with him.

Yep he eased off. Even with the crash they still have a good gap.

That FDJ rider slid for about 10m...going to have some nasty road rash.

Now raining where Sella and Hansen are....

Anyone else noticed that Sean Kelly seems to be enjoying this stage quite a lot today. What was with that Fairy Liquid joke??

Taborre still going strong. Lots of riders in the peloton waiting to explode up the road.
