Short and Long term stress on GC

I am starting to read people mentioning Short and Long term stress metrics, is there a guide somewhere that I can read to learn about it more?
I see on Golden Cheetah there are a few versions, TRIMP, Skiba etc. Whats the difference.
What are good numbers to see?
eg.
TRIMP LT is pretty stable at 104
TRIMP ST is always over 100, currently 106, actually at its lowest for a few weeks. Been to 150 a week ago.
Not really much of a clue what this means!
Only had my power meter a month, so I understand I might need more data.
Cheers

TRIMP is HR based so use a power based measure if you have a PM. Some explanations here http://www.cyclingmusings.com/2011/11/g ... rt-ii.html0

Use Bikescore and read this: http://velodynamics2.webs.com/rcgtp1.pdf
That's all you need to know (and more) to start with.
Oh and probabaly this: http://home.trainingpeaks.com/articles/ ... chart.aspx
LTS=CTL & STS=ATL (Long Term Stress=Chronic Training Load=Short Term Stress=Acute Training Load)
If you still have questions after reading, Joe Friel's blog has a few descriptive case studies (eg. http://www.joefrielsblog.com/2010/06/ca ... eason.html) or ask here.0 -
LTS/STS are similar to CTL/ATL, but not equal to since one is based on NP (30s rolling average) and the other on xPower (25s exponentially weighted rolling average). My experience is that for races and short, high power interval sessions NP can be significantly higher than xPower.

TSS and Bikescore are similar, but as above one is based on NP and the other on xPower so they're not identical.More problems but still living....0
