Cheers Pete, went out yesterday for the first time since the last cross Race, the cross bike basically buggered my knee up (Looked in Mike's photos after and the knees were pointing outwards, need to sort the cleats) getting better now so I gave it a max speed test down the bypass (35mph :-) ) Didn't go too crazy as I didn't want to make it worse.
New wheels do seem to make a bit of a difference, bike is about 700g lighter than it was with the new tyres, cassette and wheels and the saddle is a fair bit lighter as the other one was american spec and like an armchair ;-) We will have to meet up soon, it's been a while.0 -
cool...not about the knees..
#we should go on one of the maldon sunday runs0 -
Are they the mental ones with a 25mph average? I think I would die...0

Only just seen this mate, Lovely looking bike, nice one0

Looking good
I have the Domane 5.9 and I love it, seriously comfy, but very fast (for a middle aged weed)
I reckon a bike fit is on the cards for me as well to get the best from the bike.Trek,,,, too cool for school ,, apparently0 -
It really did help having the bike fit, much more comfortable and faster now.0

Great looking bike! A +1 from me. Great to see the transition from when you first got it! Enjoy2013 Bianchi Vertigo Carbon with Campagnolo Zondas

Paul, how do the wheels fare on the roads in our area? Looking for some for my bike in the summer but can't decide what to get.

Hi James, they seem to be going pretty well (Apart from some problems I have had with the rim tape (Don't use the stuff provided, use some velox 22mm ;-)
I still end up bunny hopping the craters around Colchester though as I don't want to punish them too much!0 -
After such a cack winter I've decided to keep this for nice days only and bought myself a winter minter.
With the bike off the road his has meant I could do a few thing I've been meaning to do for a while though which is fit a longer (110mm) stem and cut down the steerer tube.
I also got bored of the yellow top cap (I used it as a test for the luminous spray I used on my Oakleys and painted a picture of one of the local statues and a sunset. It was bloody fiddly but it turned out OK I think.

I really like the top cap , its been done well and the bike.0

Thanks, I'll have to give some more a go. Very hard painting on something so small and you have to choose the subject matter carefully as it will be obscured by the bolt hole otherwise.0
-
That top cap is fantastic. Nice one dude. Great looking bike too fella.0
-
Nice one, agree with the other posts. Great looking bike (don't tend to like the Domane in the other frame colours) but that top cap is excellent. I'm thinking of changing this to 11 speed Ultegra, does anyone know if I need a special length axle for the BB90 or is it just the BB itself that is different?0
